হ্যাঁ, ক্যারিয়ারে আগে কখনো এতটা গ্যাপ পড়েনি। মাঝখানে করোনা গেল, আরো কিছু বিষয় ছিল যে কারণে ছবি মুক্তি পেতে দেরি হয়েছে।
‘রাগী’ কেমন ছবি?
ছবিটা নিয়ে আমি আশাবাদী। দর্শকের পছন্দ হওয়ার মতো সব উপাদান ছবিটিতে আছে—মারপিট, ভালো গান, সুন্দর সংলাপ এবং দারুণ একটা গল্প।

২০১৩-২০১৬ পর্যন্ত আমার শিডিউল ফাঁকা ছিল না। ঠিকমতো বিশ্রাম নিতে পারিনি। তবে ২০১৭ সাল থেকে সিনেমা ইন্ডাস্ট্রিতে ধস নামতে শুরু করে। উল্লেখযোগ্য হারে ছবি নির্মাণ কমতে থাকে। হিসাব করে দেখেন, শাকিব খানের মতো সুপারস্টারও বছরে দুটির বেশি ছবি করতে পারেননি। আমার কাছে ওই সময় টানা সাতটি ছবির প্রস্তাব এসেছিল। তবে সব ছবির নায়ক ছিল নতুন। ক্যারিয়ারের একটা অবস্থানে থেকে একের পর এক নতুন নায়কের সঙ্গে কাজ করা মানে তো নিজের ক্যারিয়ার ধ্বংস করা। তাই সবাই ‘না’ করেছিলাম। বরং ওই সময়টাতে নিজের পরিবারকে সময় দিয়েছিলাম।
এখন কী নিয়ে ব্যস্ত আছেন?
এর মধ্যে বেশ কয়েকটি বিজ্ঞাপনের শুটিং করব। দুটি মিউজিক ভিডিওর শুটিং সম্পন্ন করলাম সম্প্রতি। বেশ কয়েকটা ওয়েব কনটেন্টের প্রস্তাব আছে হাতে, শিগগির সিদ্ধান্ত জানাব।
নতুন সিনেমার খবর কী?
আমি মিথ্যা বলতে পারি না। এখন আমার হাতে নতুন কোনো সিনেমা নেই। তবে ‘রাগী’ ছাড়াও মুক্তির অপেক্ষায় আছে ছয়টি ছবি—‘চাঁদনী’, ‘চিৎকার’, ‘কাজের ছেলে’, ‘রাবেয়া’, ‘যমজ ভূতের গল্প’ ও ‘করপোরেট’। এগুলো মুক্তি পেলে আগের মতো ব্যস্ততা ফিরে পাব বলে আমার বিশ্বাস।
কিছুদিন আগে কাশ্মীরে গিয়েছিলেন…
আমি ঘুরতে খুবই পছন্দ করি। পরিবার ও বন্ধুদের নিয়ে ঘুরতে গিয়েছিলাম। অবশ্য সেখানে গিয়ে রথ দেখা ও কলা বেচা কাজটাও হয়েছে। আমার বরের গাওয়া দুটি গানের ভিডিও শুট করেছি।
